I’m an independent TEFL tutor based in the UK on the beautiful North Norfolk coast. As a native British English speaker, I have a Diploma in TEFL with a specialism in Business English, and I am a certified IELTS exam coach.
About me
Hello, I’m Amanda and I run my own business teaching English as a foreign language. I love meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and sharing travel experiences. I enjoy talking about many different subjects including current affairs, history, books, travel, gardening and the environment.
As well as holding a teaching qualification, I have many years experience working in a professional setting in diverse sectors including finance, marketing, and customer services.
My teaching style
By nature I am friendly, enthusiastic and respectful. My teaching style can be best described as interactive, supportive and transparent. I encourage students to have a voice in the classroom, ask questions when they come up, and participate actively in all conversations regardless of their level of confidence. Sessions are fun, friendly and designed to get you speaking confidently.

To get things started, I offer a free 15 minute online consultation to discuss your reasons for studying English, your objectives and goals. One-to-one courses are completely tailored to your needs, whether you’re learning English for your career, for university, travel or personal development, we will focus on the areas that are important to you, and help you develop the language skills you need.
Lessons are available daily, including weekends, so you can schedule times that work around you. After every online lesson, I will leave you detailed and constructive feedback on your performance.
